The Drive 55 is a 5E3 emulation based on discrete JFET.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 4 knobs for 6.3mm shaft seperately.

Goes perfectly together with my Epiphone Custom Blues 30

I was looking for an even grittier tone to complement with my Epiphone Custom Blues on 15W mode.
It adds a warm cream like overdrive with attention for the highs.
It adds quite some sustain which is desirable for Neil Young solo work.
Thanks to the JFET high input impedance, all my noise introduced by my P90 pickups is nicely shut off. So it acts like a nice noise gate too.
Im happy with the level switch on low, since my Epi is on its drive channel with moderate overdrive already.
Using it on high level turn the signal a bit muddy, since my amp is than completely oversaturated.
Its exactly what I needed in my Neil Young Tribute band to even approach more that distinctive Young sound during solos
