Description

The 3Verb guitar effects pedal is a very analog sounding reverb, although it is bases on the digital BTDR-3 module. Controls for Decay and Mix enable to get sounds from room-size to a big cathedral reverb.

Most of the electronics is integrated in the compact reverb module, so the parts count is quite low. This makes this project also suitable for beginners. The BTDR-3 module is placed on the bottom pcb side and soldered on the top side!

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal.

Not included in the kit, but also good to have:

  • Aluminium enclosure: select one from top
  • 9V battery or DC power supply
  • 2 nice knobs for the potetniometer, 6.3mm shafts
  • Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

Instrument: Guitar Bass
Effect-Type: Mod/Echo

5 from 5 Nice sound, nice build - some challenges

Let me start by saying that I am a total beginner, so maybe this pedal was not the best to start with but in the end I managed and am pretty proud. The challenges I had were that some of the parts were not exactly the same as mentioned in either the manual or the movies on youtube. For instance, the DC jacks were different and I soldered the wires the wrong way around. Of course, after some thinking I realised the signal should go through the middle and the ground on the outside but if you are a beginner as I am, you may not know this. Also in the manual you have to solder the LED directly to this smaller little green board (PCB) but in my case it was blue and had a different shape where you couldnt directly attach the LED, at least not in a way that it would fit the opening in the enclosure. In the end I actually didnt use the small blue board but soldered everything with cables directly to the footswitch. Another thing that was challenging was that one of the potentiometers was rotating after I turned the knob. There is the little metal tab sticking out which can prevent this, but this only works if there is something which holds it. I read that a lot of people snip it of. In the end I didnt do that, but I squeezed some cardboard in between to keep it from turning and to get it level. All in all these little puzzles made it both challenging but also rewarding. I can imagine that someone with even less experience can be frustrated.

5 from 5 Très bonne pédale de réverb !

5 from 5 Great simple reverb

Installed into a TSF guitar amp, sounds very good, not the best reverb ever but really good. Kit is simple, solid components and great instructions.

Had loads of fun building this, and so far it sounds really promising! Can strongly recommend this to anyone who can handle a soldering iron.

5 from 5 Awesome reverb

Awesome reverb pedal based on Beltron 3 brick module which some of the best reverbs use. It also has option to go into self-oscilation when dwell is turned above 12 oclock, so youll get some crazy distortion after few secs :D

5 from 5 Simple and great

This a really nice sounding pedal. Simple reverb with two controls, but it gives a wide range of sounds!

This was my first kit build, though I do have a fair bit of relative experience. Kit was complete and accurate. I needed to use wires for the LED, despite the generic instructions saying it could solder straight to the little foot switch pcb.

Great kit, great service. Thanks Das Musikding!

Good sound and quality.
Totally recommended.

5 from 5 Very nice Reverb kit

Sounds fabulous. The reverb can be turned up to cathedral-like sounds, loooong decay and large room, or it can just be used to make your instrument sound a little less dry. Very versatile.
For beginners: quite easy to assemble and solder, but it hardly fits the small housing. That can be a bit difficult, but it works with a little bit of patience.
And dont get it wet - my first one got destroyed in a rainy concert (all my other musikding pedals survived) and I didnt manage to repair it =P
