Black Mirror B3k kit

I was looking for an affordable alternative to the well-known Darkglass b3k.
I once had this but sold it. Eventually I wanted to have a good bass overdrive again. After searching on the internet for a while I came across the Das Musikding site. I then ordered the B3K kit which was delivered after about 1 week. I was very surprised after unpacking the parts !, all neatly packed in plastic bags, and the esd sensitive parts neatly on an antistatic foam mat. Most parts were also provided with the value. The components are all of good quality. The complete building plan can simply be downloaded from the site and is also very clearly explained and provided with the necessary illustrations! If you follow the document exactly, it cant go wrong! I also ordered the pre-drilled aluminum box, saving yourself a precision drill job. After a few hours working on the kit, the B3K black mirror was ready! In order to get the pre-assembled print properly into the metal housing, the potentiometers must be positioned slightly in the pre-drilled holes. After that it all fits perfectly. Now the B3k final test. I was very surprised by the result of B3K black mirror! I hear no difference with the original Darkglass B3K, while it is many times more expensive. I did the test with my passive Fender Jazz Bass and active musicman stingray, both giving a very good result. I finished the case with a nice print. I am more than satisfied with the end result of the black mirror kit, I can recommend this to bass players who are looking for a good bass overdrive with cmos technology.

Copie de Darkglass B3k qui fait très bien le boulot. Je nai jamais eu loccasion dessayer le modèle original, je ne pourrai pas comparer les deux. Utilisée avec Fender Jazz Bass Japan et Bassman Silverface, ça marche très bien, le son est là. Assez polyvalente avec le potard de blend qui permet pas mal de possibilités. Niveau assemblage, je nai eu aucun souci elle a fonctionné du premier coup. Assez longue à assembler dailleurs, il y a pas mal de composants malgré laspect compact du circuit. Peut être une remarque : le pcb laisse 2 choix pour les transistors, soit des transistors sur socket, soit des transistors SMD. Il ny a que les SMD dans le kit, il aurait été bien de laisser le choix, ou de mettre que des sockets + transistors traversants car les SMD ne sont pas toujours les plus pratiques à souder je trouve. Globalement je recommande !
