Description

The Bohemia combines the preamp section of an AC30 with a specially tuned Rangemaster circuit.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 3 knobs for 6.3mm shaft seperately.

5 from 5 Preamp juice pedal

This was my first build. it is a really good pedal
This is not a overdrive pedal
it more gives you the Brian May juice to the sound like him
But dont forget, the playing method of the guitarist is 90% of the sound

4 from 5 Good pedal, but too much gain!

There is definitively too much gain for a pedal that is supposed to emulate a Vox Amp with a treble booster. Distorsion is too high even with the gain knob at the minimum. The cause of the problem seems to be the NPN transistor in Q1 which has a gain of 200Hfe. I see two ways to solve the issue: put a NPN transistor with less gain in Q1, or increase R5. For the moment, Im just turning down the volume knob of my guitar to 4-5 and it provides the expected sound (with the gain totally turned down on the pedal).
