Description

The Cerulean is a Bluesbreaker / King of Tone / Morning Glory project. The parts in the kit enable to build a Bluesbreaker OR Morning Glory.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 3 knobs for 6,3mm shaft separately.

This project is by Aion Electronics, in collaboration with Musikding. If you have any problems with the contents of the kit, please contact Das Musikding (Klaus). Since the modifications require some basic knowledge, this project is rather for more experienced builders.

Excellent quality and sound

A pleasure to solder on such a good-quality PCB. The kit contains absolutely everything you need (and the couple of parts that were incorrect were replaced promptly) and the build instructions were clear - but take the time to read them through a couple of times before you start to avoid silly mistakes!
I am very pleased to have found a new supplier based in Europe who charge reasonable prices :)

Best BB style OD

Franchement, pour en avoir monté plusieurs, je trouve que cest le meilleur kit disponible : très clair si on le souhaite, plus mordant si on préfère, transparent ou légèrement mid boost...
Bref excellent !!!
Super PCB aussi : simple à utiliser et kit très complet même si on aurait pu souhaiter une potard externe pour le réglage de présence, mais je chipotte et cest simple à faire si on vent lajouter !

Bref ravi de ce kit qui se marie super bien avec le MDMA de pedalPCB

Great versatile pedal

First I made this as a Morning Glory clone. Compared to an original the Cerulean could be tweaked to sound like a Morning Glory but it is more open and not as much mid emphasize.
Then I made second Cerulean for my friend as Prince of Tone. It sounded so delicious that I ripped the MG circuit off from my own pedal!
My friend compared Cerulean to a KoT and reported that they are completely similar.

Sounds fantastic

This was my 3rd pedal kit and I couldnt be happier. The PCB was backordered so I had plenty of time to prep a nice case. It took me about 2-3hrs to put together across two sittings. Everything came together nicely and it sounds great. The tone control combined with all that extra volume really opens up a lot of possibilities. I can almost get single coil sounds out of my humbuckers because of all the clarity from that tone circuit.

After some testing, Im very tempted to stick that 1uF cap in CX5 and milk a little drive out of it but Ive been having too much fun with it to pull out off my pedalboard and open it up again.

The documentation from Aion is highly detailed and I strongly recommend one of their kits for a first build. Great PCB from Aion, excellently labeled parts from Musikding, one got nothing but good things to say about this project.
