Best Marshall-in-a-box circuit. Often copied, never equalled.

I built this circuit upon recommandations, it is far beyond my expectations.

Original unit from MI Audio was designed in 2003 and released in 2005.

Compared to the Angry Charlie (probably inspired by this circuit first version), the EQ is more effective, easier to use, and offers a broader range of tones.

There has been a mistake with my order, and I received a Crunch Captain kit. I couldnt wait and built it instead of sending it back. I received the Deluxe version later. Both versions sound very close to each other, the Deluxe version features High, Mids, Low instead of a single Tone Knob, and two toggleswitches to select between modes and clipping options.

Modes toggles between Low Gain, Mid Gain and High Gain (standard v.1 setting).
Clipping options are Standard, Open, Compress.

Presence is the same as the v.1 Tone control.

Active EQ frequencies are based on Plexi/JCM800 frequencies, according to the original designer.

If you are looking for a Marshall oriented overdrive, this is certainly among the best circuits you can find.
