Der Muff Green Russian - Distortion kit

I have built several of Musikdings kits. The wire layout is the same on all the ones i have made. It makes it simple to make and it sounds killer. I have never tried the original pedal. But im not aiming for the original sound anyway. Its more like an hobby to make them and trying out new sounds at a great price. I have to wait for ages to get the parts. But im writing this during covid-19 and the postal service and me living in a different country is to blame for that.

Great, great sounding machine. Cant stop playing and testing pots / pick-up configurations .
Its not noisy if you have a decent power supply.

It was my first ever kit and I wasnt even soldering before that. The PCB is very well designed so it was rather easy to do.

My advice is to, first, mount every parts, pots ( be careful with their positionning) and wires on the main PCB. Then its possible to test the device ( outside its enclosure) with a guitar and an amp You just need some aligator clips (less than 10€) and a 9V battery . After the test was OK, I mounted jacks, led , 3PDT stuff and wires in the enclosure.

Finally, I could, without any worry, install the main PCB (with its pots) in the fully equiped enclosure .

Cant wait to build another pedal !!

Ca sonne vraiment très très bien. On ne peut pas sarreter de jouer et de tester les configs de potards .
La pédale nest pas bruyante avec une bonne alimentation.

Cétait mon premier kit et jétais tout sauf un pro de la soudure. Néanmoins, comme le circuit imprimé est très bien fait , cest plutot facile à faire.

Mon conseil cest de monter dabords les composants, les potards (bien anticiper lalignement avec les trous de la boite) et les cables sur le circuit principal. Cela permet de tester le montage, hors boitier, avec une guitare et un ampli. Il faut juste quelques cables à pinces crocos (moins de 10 €) et une pile 9V. Ensuite seulement , on monte la boite avec les jacks , la led et le footswitch.

A la fin seulement, on peut sans crainte installer le circuit fonctionnel dans le boitier .

Impatient den faire dautre !!

Je trouve le son bien meilleur quune big muff nyc.
Le 3pdt est super il y a un petit clique mais très agréable pas comme sur un big muff ou sa fait un gros plock...

Everything shipped correctly in about 10 days from order (Im located in Italy), built in a handful of days (this is my first project) and works perfectly. Really rich and powerful sound (exactly what you would expect from a big muff), it emits zero noise even if put in chain with other pedals. It far exceeded my expectations, it gained a steady place on my pedalboard and I cant reccomend it enough.

This is a very nice kit, easy building for an excellent sound! It brings the true vintage muff sound to your pedalboard, and also there are some easy possible tweaks to change some details of the sound youre searching (like for example bypass diodes 1 and 2 to cut the high frequencies and turn it to a bass fuzz pedal). Recommended!!

Second pedal I did and I must say that I never played a muff before. I think it is a shame because this is the best so far. I love the sound and I will buy more Muff-like pedals. As the first one, I did not had any troubles with making the pedal.
