5 from 5 great full analoque uni-vibe ish clone

If you love the real-deal uni-vibe, get this electro-vibe pcb kit. if you take the time and spend
time for tuning it, it s a great pedal. I love it. It is not an easy project, but read and look very
closely and there are enough answers to find on the forum for questions.
Great kit from musik-ding in cooperation with pedal-pcb.

5 from 5 Classic Univibe

Great kit. When I learned that PedalPCB had a Uni-vibe pedal, I knew I would be building one. Musikding just made it that much easier by putting everything you need in a kit, rather than having to put together a BOM to source all the components and parts. I live in Northeastern US and it arrived in under 2 weeks from the day I ordered. I was pretty pleased with that considering its an international order and needed to clear customs.

I found the build to be pretty straight forward but it could be intimidating to a novice. PedalPCBs PDF instructions tend to not be as hand-holding as others like AionFx or BYOC, however they do have an excellent forum with many supportive builders, so youre not on your own.

5 from 5 One of the best Univibe Kits on the market

This is the PedalPCB circuit board with a parts kit assembled by MusikDing. The board is well laid out with the component values printed on the board. The kit is an analogue Univibe guitar effect similar to the original Shin-Ei. It has a pulsating lamp with four photo resistors to create a warm lush effect. The parts kit cost is less than that charged by Mouser so well done to Klaus for that. Building tips can be obtained from pedalPCB forum which also has a useful list of modifications compiled by @BigMonk which are useful to obtain improved tone. Chief among these mods is the Unity gain mod to increase volume (R4 --> 5 mega ohms.) The beauty of this kit is that it comes with a LT1054 charge pump so that the effect pedal can be operated by the same isolated 9 volt DC power supply common to many pedal racks. This supply is boosted to 18 volts by the pump and then regulated. (Other kits require 18-24 volt DC PSU). The enclosure is tight. The 1590BBS would be better than the 1590BB but everything should fit into the BB just about. I socketed the transistors to avoid heat damage and I got everything into the 1590BB. I opted for the drilled enclosure from MusikDing to save some work. Remember to use pot covers to avoid short circuits and dont mix up the 47K resistors with the 4k7 ones like I did. This is a challenging kit to build, not for beginners, but it is very rewarding. There are two daughter boards supplied that connect to the stomp switches. Two speed pots are supplied for easy rate changing during live performances. Pedal PCB also sells an attractive faceplate to complement the kit. Recommended product.

5 from 5 Awesome Kit

Definitely a well thought out and supplied kit. For the price youll find no better (Univibe) style pedal. Pedal PCB and our awesome Das Musikding together have an awesome product. It is a harder kit but very doable. Take your time and youll be vibing in no time!

5 from 5 Wow wow wow!

Sounds fantastic! It gives this organic/natural sway, not comparable to a chorus or vibrato without a light resistor and I had so much fun playing around with this pedal, can definitely recommend

Building this was fun at first but then... frustrating. It took a lot of time and I put in a lot of effort making sure I got everything right and when I tested it... no sound? Changing the Bias and Gain, just beeps, changing the distance of Light Dependent Resistor = beepy weirdness.?? I put it away for 2 weeks and it magically worked after changing the Light Dependent Resistor distance yet again. Anyway Im not complaining bc it was all worth it!
