3 from 5 As described, unfortunately 2 holes uncorrectly drilled

No missing parts, easy build, especially with the foot switch breakout board which really helps keep things tidy.

Only 3 stars for a couple reasons: of the 3 pot holes, one was too small, probably drilled to the diameter of a led. The LED hole was also too small since the kit came with a metal bezel that could not fit in. So I had to take out my drill and make the holes larger, was a messy process since I dont have such large drill bits. A file would probably have worked better. Not a big hassle, and it wouldnt keep me from recommending Musikding, everyone is a bit stressed out in these corona times so its easy to make small mistakes.

The other reason is that PedalPCB sells this as a Noel Cornet Revu clone, and if you look at a gutshot of that original pedal you will see that the components are of very special quality. Here we only get standard quality parts, so the clone ends up looking and probably sounding nothing like the original. No issue with Musikding however, since they correctly provide all the parts that PedalPCB recommends on its build documents.

Dont forget to either break off the tiny metal stubs that stick out towards the top of the pots or add a couple washers if you dont want to break them. That way the shafts and knobs will be straight.

The pedal sounds like an average Big Muff, tight low end, lacking a bit of definition in the mids and unexciting trebles. The 3 controls are usable all around the clock, and it is not noisy even with sustain all the way up.
Messing with the guitar volume pot or pickup switch is quite useless as the pedal seems pretty unresponsive to that, as well as to playing dynamics. Bear in mind I have a Hudson Broadcast which pretty much sets the standard in the sensitivity area, so I may be unreasonably harsh!
But it does have its use, the tight low end lends itself well to heavy rhythm parts, and I love stacking it with my Broadcast for huge sustain.
