Description

The Into the Unknown 2.0 is a CMOS based fuzz based around the CD4046 PLL (phase locked loop) chip and a CD4015 shift register chip.

It can do brutal fuzz, octave down and octave up, self oscillations, theremin sounds, flanger like modulation and more!

The 3PDT board is included in the kit!

This circuit works best with high output pickups. It is a gated circuit by nature of COMS technology If you are using single coils and need more sustain, try a boost or compressor in front. To tighten up the octave tracking, use your neck pickup with the tone rolled off.

This kit is a creation by Parasitstudio.se in cooperation with Musikding.de. If you have any problem with the content of the kits like mising or wrong parts, please contact Musikding (Klaus) at kontakt@musikding.de. For any technical problem relating to building this project, please contact Fredrik at www.parasitstudio.se.

Here´s the parts list: Parts List (BOM)

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal. Not included in the kit, but also good to have:

  • Aluminium enclosure: select one from top
  • 9V DC power supply
  • 8 nice knobs for the potentiometer, up to 20mm diameter and for 6.3mm shafts
  • Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

5 from 5 Super kit for martian sounds

It is the second kit that I do, I am really a beginner but with patience and paying attention it can be done without problem. Be careful when making the holes that fit everything well. It is a great pedal with sounds from another planet!

5 from 5 Very nice kit

This was my second build, and it was really great fun! It was much easier than i thought thanks to the great layout on the PCB. It took me some 10 minutes to fit it into the enclosure, this was the most difficult part of the build for me. The pedal produces interesting sound and after an hour of playing with it, it can still surprise me in a good way :)
Tha service of Musikding is also first class, thank You!

5 from 5 Awesome synth sounds

The kit was complete and the layout of the PCB is really neat. The sounds coming out of it are absolutely insane. The demos give quite a good impression of that.

It is a really tight fit when trying to get it in the enclosure, the power jack could not be fitted with the nut when the board was already mounted, but some hot glue fixed that issue.

5 from 5 you know you want it

leave it to musikding to come up with another fantastic product.you wont be disappointed.cool sounds, like your notes are being ripped from a strip of velcro to being retched up by a spacesick alien.lots of other cools sounds too. a real fun build and well documented.the drilled enclosure was perfectly drilled, everything lined up and it all slipped in place in under a minute, except the the power jack hole was in the way of the board, also the power jack isnt a good fit for the standard plug, the center pin is a bit large, but it works.i would still highly recommend the predrilled enclosure.thanks again for making this available.

5 from 5 very nice product

There are many parts, but you can add them by comparing them with the numbers as the instruction manual says.
The 9V terminal has two legs and the longer one is the plus.
I connected the minus to the long terminal.Because of that, I had to stare at the PCB for an hour.
