Kit Madamp G3 Blues

Quality components, instructions and an unbelievable sound. This was my first attempt at building or using a valve amp in my thirty years playing. I simply cannot describe the complex beauty and tonal separation this little amp adds to my guitars sound. Coupled with an inexpensive celestion tube 10 speaker and a homemade cabinet I have achieved a sound that I never dreamed possible. Dont waste time considering purchasing this kit just buy it! You will have no regrets.

It took me 3 evenings to assemble this amp.
I dont play in a band, so 3 watt is more than enough for me. Dont be fooled by low power - its still loud enough to get complaints from neighbors. More than enough headroom if you want clean sounds.
Im using it with Celestion Eight 15 speaker (very cheap) and it sound pretty good.


This amp is great for recording as well. I use SM57 with Focusrite ISA ONE and it sounds so much better than Guitar Rig recordings. I like 3 band tone control, its always better to remove unwanted frequencies before recording.
Add some pedals, use different mics, cabinets and possibilities are endless.
In addition, you cant turn out effects afterwards = more productive approach. No presets = more creative approach.

In conclusion: I was expecting a novelty amp, but I thinks its going to become a powerhouse for my synth and guitar recordings.

A small amplifier with the right tone to play blues and a gain control very useful to switch from a rhythm sound to a convincing lead sound with the gain at 10 ( like a fender with tubescreamer ) .
Very quiet , not noisy at all . Great little amp : it sounds very good with a volume suitable for playng at home .

Amazing little amplifier! Looks cute, the build instructions are outstanding in detail and useful tips and plugging it in and hearing it for the first time is something else altogether. As one would expect from a good tube amp it has a lot of headroom and,within reason, gets a decent crunch going when driven by a humbucker. Noise levels are astonishingly low and it feels like the tubes get to breathe even at bedroom volume. As far as ratings go this amp would get a 6 out of 5 stars from me :)

This was my first amp and proper DIY electric circuit project.
I had to de-solder then re-solder a few connections but that was my fault, otherwise the instructions are very good and clear.
The Amp itself is amazing, I am using it to drive a 12 inch Fender speaker I got from my boss who threw an old Fender solid state amp away and the sound is awesome.
I cant believe this is a 3W amp! it has plenty of power for the house and Im very happy with the result.

Wiring complete, all welds controlled, connected to an Eminence 12 , all in a cabinet in the format of a Blues Junior of a well known brand, first time under tension and first test with my telecaster: the sound is simply giant, not snoring, the amplifier accepts perfectly effects. I did not yet find measurements of voltages, but I imagine that everything is order.

Im quite satisfied, the value for money is amazing. I recommend without reservation this amp for home use, even at low volume, it does the job.
