5 from 5 Great amp

I bought this amp a few months ago because I wanted a tube amp that wasnt too powerful for home use. I hesitated between this kit and some pre-built models, as the final price was practically the same. In the end, the pleasure of building it myself won out.

I didnt encounter any difficulties during assembly; the instructions were clear and precise enough.

However, after playing for a few hours, I realized it lacked reverb and an effects loop to connect my looper. I decided to buy an FX-Loop board and an LndVerb (a spring reverb with an Accutronics tank), which I installed in series between the Treble output and the Master input. Finding enough space in the chassis was a challenge, but I managed it. I then mounted the amp into an Epiphone combo, keeping only the original speaker (a Gibson Electra).

The result is exactly what I was hoping for. The sound is truly excellent. My only minor complaint is that the tone stack isnt very responsive, except when adjusting the bass.
