This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 2 knobs for 6,3mm shaft separately.

powerfull high gain overdrive

I never had the chance to play on the original amp, but this kit sounds great.

The pcbs layout allows to add an EQ at the end of the circuit, and its a fine addition.
Mids, highs, bass and are welcome to shape your sound, and give more versatility to the Mesa Dr.
A bigger enclosure than the 125B is needed if you want to add an EQ, BB type is perfect.

The distortion is vigorous, full and rich, very dynamic.

Exceptional kit

First and foremost Id like the opportunity to thank everyone that is involved with the making of this kit, YOU MAKE THE KIT 5 STARS!Every single component was in the kit and everything fit perfectly. Now onto the 👎. I was not able to get any tone out of my kit.I literally changed out EVERY WIRE,EVERY SWITCH AND JACK MULTIPLE TIMES! I am not sure if anyone else has had an issue with a different kit, but to say the least I was and STILL am insanely UPSET to put it nicely.Idk if its a jfet or? But WOW I am going to run it over with my car today. But seriously this is the 2nd KIT that I was unable to get a proper signal, the other pcb I can no longer get and thats a real disappointment.I digress I plan to purchase 2 more boards direct from the manufacturer and Im going to try to build them using my own personal components and then I will be back with a more accurate review. Plz understand that I am upset with the components and not with anyone involved in making the kit.The kit is complete it just must be something not correct with the build document. Thank you and have a epic build!!

Heavy and thick distorsion as expected but needs an EQ section

The kit in itself is complete and perfectly packaged and tagged as usual. This is not a difficult circuit, just be carefull with the 2 verrrrry tiny J201 transistors, you really need a small and sharp iron soldier and good eyes. The sound is on the heavy side, full distorsion mode. Thick and warm if I can say, very high gain sound. Which is what we all expect, but like most super high gain devices it needs an efficient EQ section to be really usable and enjoyable, unless you just have a can of bees. The gain pot value should be changed to have a more progressive control. The PCB includes a send and return loop to add the EQ of your choice, which is a good thing but why not include directly a full EQ section in this kit ? I got a decent result with a 3 band EQ but I think it would be even better with a 5 band EQ, or a parametric EQ (like in a Metalzone, which remains the most adaptable distorsion pedal in my humble opinion).
