5 from 5 Incredible sound

One of the best overdrives ive ever heard.

The original early power boost only had a volume knob, which produced overdrive/fuzz only at ~80% or above. This version has a master volume knob (this is essential to play at normal levels, as the pedal gets really loud) and a drive knob. The drive pot is different from the original (1kC instead of 10kB), which according to the docs makes it more usable. From my experience, you can control the overdrive across the whole range of this pot, instead of just from 80% up. You can use the pedal as a boost or an overdrive by setting the volume and drive knobs properly. The bass and treble knobs are also really useful to shape the sound.

Overall, the sound is just incredible! I have replaced the transistors in the kit with BC109C, but the original ones are also good.

The kit itself had some faults unfortunately. There were not enough capacitors to choose between the two different versions of the kit, one resistor was wrongly marked (150 marked as 150k), the footswitch hole was too small.

Im giving 5 stars anyway, because the pedal has become my favourite so far.
