Description

Based on the classic Colorsound "Fuzz Box" of the 60's with a huge influence on both 60's and 70's Fuzz tones. Unique to this version designed by Bruce R. is a tweaked resistor to stabilize any Fuzz issues as well as the addition of A/B pads at the output for further modification if wanted.

This kit contains the pcb and all necessary parts. You can choose an enclosure, please buy 1 knob for 6,3mm shaft separately.

Awesome

After trying a lot of different fuzzes, Ive decided to step back to the origins. This is a very stable and reliable circuit and the choice of components make it a versatile beast Id buy it thousand times again

It sounds nice

The fuzz cuts very well in the mix. I like how aggressive it is.

Great fuzz

Great fuzz but lack of infos about the wiring. the schematic and drawings are a bit confusing. Specially concerning the sense of the transistors. I never met a drawing on board like this before.

Great unique fuzz

Very aggressive and bass heavy fuzz. Works well on bass guitar as well. Somewhat Queens of the Stone Age kinda sound. The guitar volume knob works as a gain knob that also rolls of some bass without affecting the overall volume too much. The PCB comes with markings for old style transistors that are difficult to find and the kit came with new equivalent transistors. After some googling I put the transistor emitter leg where the tab mark is on the PCB. Otherwise kit is simple and very straightforward to assemble.
