Sweet Overdrive

Nice sound from boost to big crunch good with LP and strat, questionable tone circuit even with the provided mod (Ive red its the same on the original).
Good dynamic and pick sensitivity. Worth to have , it gives me additional sounds.

Easy to build, some remarks : the pre-drilled box supplied with the kit needs an additional hole for the tone switch (easy to drill), the bi-color led is at risk with the be bezel (need to find a way to insulate - i have cut the red cathode). Tricky to position the circuit : enough space but no way to fix it (I have put isolation separators on the pots, swich, ..to avoid short circuit risks.

Really happy with my new pedal.

ODC not OCD

Finished this project and made it working after having some trouble with it (my fault :-(). In direct comparison to the orignal pedal it sounds a bit harsh. Do not get me wrong, it still sounds good but the original has more warmth and substance. Anyhow this pedal is worth to be tried out.

good sound!!

Hi,
the sound is very powerfull. I love it. I do not know the sound of an original OCD, i have listened to it on youtube only.
in my realization, the switch dosnt work well: if i switch the volume pump up to the stars !! too much. i dont use it.
the bi-coloured led doesnt work: i have used a normal one!
could i suggest it ? yes, I do.

Nice replica but...

I think it is a very nice replica of the OCD, but I did not like the low drive setting.
I do not like a dirty signal that is created in a second plane on this configuration. When increasing the drive the distortion is full and I do not hear the dirtiness. This behavior is audible on youtube demos of the original pedal.
(I think the youtube demos are representative for this pedal)
