Rift

This was the fist build on my own. It is probably not the most simple to start with, but turned out to be easy enough for a beginner.
The instructions on Das Musikding are adjusted to the kit you get from here. You can also find a more complete and even more beginner friendly instruction at Aion (links are found in the Description here). Just be aware that Aion instruction cover more detail, but it is also built around some other components that are solved differently here with Das Musikding. So user the instruction from here are your main one and the Aion for reference if you want that extra support.
I wanted to have the Octave trimpot on the outside so I got aa Alpha potentiometer 16mm with lugs (not legs) for this. I got 10k lin and 10k log, but only tried the lin one. I saw no reason to experiment with the log version.
To figure out how to adjust the drill template was quite easy, just transpose the Tone to either side under the Expander or Balance and add a similar hole for the Octave under the other one.
Then I used wires to connect them. Be aware you need to do some thinking of which wire goes where. I think it was straight for the Tone, but had to cross left and right leads for the Octave since it becomes upside down. It might not matter though due to the nature of its use.
I am not sure how useful it is in the end to put the Octave outside, since I tend to set it to 12 oclock and keep it there. But if tweaking and control is your thing...

All in all a very nice build that worked at first go.
The tones are really different from other Fuzz (that are not Octave Fuzz). I cant say how true to its original it is. I wish there was a little bit more sustain and a little bit less gating when trailing out. But it is a Fuzz, so I think there is nothing wrong.
