Description

The Bender Mk2 is a wild germanium fuzz beast. Featuring 2 control knobs it is delivering a classic tonebender fuzz sound.

Like its ancestors it uses a positive ground, so you have to use a separate power supply or battery.

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal.

Not included in the kit, but also good to have:

  • Aluminium enclosure: select one on the top
  • 9V battery or DC power supply
  • 2 nice knobs for the pots, for 6.3mm shaft
  • Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

5 from 5 lot of fun

great sound, many old songs got the right patination, but such sustain can be useful even in non-sixties songs . I am really glad that I have decided to build this nice box myself (again after 35-years rest: to make soldering was like to view album with family photos :-)).
good job, Musikding.de!

5 from 5 great sounding fuzz

Relatively easy to build. Cant be daizychained, but 9v battery is small price to pay for the great tones.

5 from 5 Nice vintage fuzz.

Many thanks for all.
Fast delivery to France.
The kit is very easy to build, there is nothing to add, all components are in small plastic bags. Mounting informations are very clear. I just made a little confusion with the transistors Q1 and Q2, I had 2 Q2 and I did not noticed that Q1 and Q2 have the same characteristics. This is my own fault, I did not read the BOM...
The sound is perfect, that old vintage germanium sound. I am sure it is a real challenge to get those old transistors.
Anyway, continue with that nice job.
Kind regards.

4 from 5 The Bender Mk2 - GF

The kit boosts some excellent quality components. Quality germanium transistors and a standard PCB. Parts are preciselly labelled and carefully packaged for the international shipping (definitely a 5 stars service!). Instructions are not included but it is possible to download them from the website for free. The eclosure (to be bought separately) is resistent and the kit fits perfectly. It can be advisable to buy separately some extra hex nuts for the potis and for the jack in/out for a more precise positioning of the components.Great kit for beginners! Experts can also attempt to add a bias controls and perhaps a pre-gain section for wider tonal combination.
Higly recommended!

5 from 5 Want early Zep tones? Get this!

Excellent Mk2 Tonebender clone that takes you very close to the original. Certain DIY clone kits will cost you twice as much without sounding twice as good (no where near in fact!). Boutique pre made pedals just arent worth it either as this is stupidly easy to build. Dont think about it, just buy it!

5 from 5 An easy and well organised kit

The kit was very well put together. The pcb was marked very clearly and pre tinned. Even the resistors had the values written on their packaging. When ordering the enclosure and the knobs were a bit hard to choose because their features werent very clear. The pots were solid shaft. I know it now that I have the kit. The germanium transistors seem to be somewhat matched. The pedal sounds decent. I still have to find out how I like the sound.
