The Birdie is a Treblebooster based on the EH Screaming Bird. It needs very few parts, so it is perfect for beginners.

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal.

Not included in the kit, but also good to have:

Aluminium enclosure: select one above
9V battery or DC power supply
A nice knob for the pot, 6.3mm shaft
Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

good kit

I brought this kit to get experience in building a simple pedal. All the parts were present. The were some challenges , my own mistakes , which is part of the learning experience. The kit does what it says on the tin. Ran it through a Marshall jtm60 with gain at mac. using ibanez rg 570. Behaved like a trebble boost. The is a 50 cycle hum and some low volume high pitched squeaks but I had to resolve a capacitor in wrong place and diode the wrong way.

The Birdie

Première pédale DIY réalisée avec succès après 2 échecs... Très facile à réaliser, envoi parfait, pièces très bien identifiées. Le résultat est un clone de la Screaming Bird d’Electro-Harmonix, un treble booster qui fait le job, très bon rendu! Je ne m’arrêterai pas à cette seule pédale, je conseille vraiment à tout le monde d’essayer le DIY de pédale d’effet c’est vraiment simpa!

The pedal I need

The Birdie treble booster is so easy to build, even for an inexperienced rookie like me. First pedal assembled all by myself (so proud of me :D). The sound is amazing, the perfect balance for a great pair of Hambucker like the ones Ive got. Excellent to break into the mix in solos but also to create some radio-sounding back part. Amazing!
