The Face Germanium - Fuzz kit

Après avoir réalisé un premier kit avec une disto (the plus) qui marche nikel, je me suis lancé lancé dans cette Fuzz. Ben raté.
J’ai suivi le schéma à la lettre. Lorsque que tout est branché, le son est moche, faible, le potard de fuzz n’agit pratiquement pas. Lorsque je retire une patte du transistor (Q2) j’obtiens un son de fuzz, mais sans pouvoir le régler, à part le volume, l’autre potard ne servant plus... bon ben tant pis. Si quelqu’un a une idée ?

Cette fuzz fonctionne parfaitement, un bon gros son de fuzz.
Jai eu quelques soucis pour câbler le footswitch avec son support, je me suis passé du support et sa fonctionne parfaitement.

A very easy project to build, and you end up with that amazing tone we all know. It cleans up real nice with the volume pot on your guitar and the internal trim pot allows you to dial in the right amount of fuzziness when you turn the fuzz dial all the way up.
Wide arrange of classic fuzz tones in this little beast.
I ended up not using the small pcb for the foot switch because I couldn’t figure out how it was supposed to be wired to the main pcb due to the inverted polarity. I simply wired the 3pdt straight from its pins to the pcb, the jacks, and everything else. It worked.

Great sound (especially if you use the volume of the guitar, like the classic fuzz face), easy to customize eg. convert to NPN fuzz face with standard 9V supply (center negative). The bias trim is very useful if you choose to try various transistors.

This kit is really good and easy to assembly and all the documents are well explained. The sound is like a vintage Germanium Fuzz Face, if you roll back the volume will clean the fuzz sound. I didn´t used the PCB for the swtich since they explain well how to connect all the cables from the PCB and you can still test your soldering skills. I will probably order the Silicon version to see the difference. Thank you Musikding for providing a great kit to build was really funny. Cheers

Id had a great time building muy first pedal. In my opinion, basic electronics knowledge is required because you need to follow the schematic. Oh, and the most important thing: it sounds great.
