The Kay is a very choppy and percussive tremolo, featuring one single speed knob.

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal. Not included in the kit, but very useful:

Aluminium enclosure: select one from the top
DC power supply
1 nice knob for the pot, for 6,3mm shaft
Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

Good choppy tremolo

If you like fast and very choppy tremolo, this one will please you, its sounds very good as it is and you can make it suits your taste with easy mods, i found it too fast for me, so i changed R13 to a higher value to decrease the speed, it worked pretty well but result in a less clean sound. I emailed musikding to and they tell me to increase C4 and C5 to make the pedal overall slower, i havent tried yet.

good sound!

Hi! It was my first diy project although Ive some experience in soldering and wiring I have to say that its quite easy to build and it pushed me to study some basic electronic. Very funny and challenging.
The sound is old style and definetly wet but with a easy mod you can wet-dry the signal.

Tremolo Kit

Good sounding tremolo and easy to build kit.
The only issue is the lack of a volume pot, but you can easily add one.

great build for beginners

This was my first build. Works a treat! Clear explanations all round, easy to build. I learned a lot. This is the sort of trem you need to write a song for rather than write a song with it.
