Description

The Tommy is inspired by one of the original boutique pedals that kick started the pedal craze. From clean boost to light overdrive, this little beauty can be an always-on tone shaper or used to boost an amp into overdrive. The toggle switch gives it two different clipping options to further sculpt your sound.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 4 knobs for 6.3mm shaft seperately.

Très bonne pédale qui sonne / Very good pedal that sounds.

Très bonne pédale qui sonne, avec peu de composants donc assez facile à monter.
Le PCB de Pedalpcb nest pas celui que je préfère, les trous sont petits et il nest pas évident de faire de belles soudures. Je préfère ceux de Musikding (jenlève une étoile pour cela). Ceci dit la pédale a fonctionné du premier coup donc rien à redire niveau qualité de fabrication.
Il y avait une petite erreur dans mon kit sur 2 composants mais Klaus ma renvoyé rapidement les bons composants moyennant un peu dattente pour pouvoir finir ma pédale.
Les composants fournis ne sont pas premiums (especially electrolytic capacitors) mais tout fonctionne très bien. Les potentiomètres alpha et le switch 3PDT sont de bonne qualité et le bezel de led ainsi que le petit pcb fournis pour le switch 3PDT sont de vrais plus qui permettent une belle finition ainsi que déviter les erreurs sur le switch.
Je recommande sauf pour les débutants qui devraient plutôt ce faire la main sur des PCB plus facile comme ceux de Musikding.

Very good pedal that sounds, with few components so easy enough to mount.
Pedalpcb PCB is not the one I prefer, the holes are small and it is not easy to make beautiful welds. I prefer those of Musikding (I remove a star for that). This said the pedal worked the first time so nothing wrong quality manufacturing level.
There was a small mistake in my kit on 2 components but Klaus sent me quickly the right components for a little waiting to be able to finish my pedal.
The components provided are not premiums (especially electrolytic capacitors) but everything works fine. Alpha knobs and 3PDT switch are of good quality and the LED bezel and the small pcb provided for the 3PDT switch are real plus that allow a nice finish and avoid errors on the switch.
I recommend except for beginners who should rather do this hand on PCB easier like those of Musikding.

Excellent clone pedal

The difference from the original pedal Timmy 15th Anniversary V3 is that the original does not have ceramic capacitors (MKT) :) which really does not leave much difference in sound.

Great sound, easy to build

Shipment took a little longer than expected.
The kit was fine except for the switch screw nut not threaded well. 5 Stars overall.

Really nice overdrive with a huge amount of gain on tap

Beautiful overdrive. Really recommend. It sounds beautiful in front of another overdrive or cranked amp. Goes from low gain to high gain with a switch.

On another clone I built the tone knobs were reversed. So turning clockwise would remove bass or treble. I dont know about the original, but on this pedal they work as you would expect. So turning clockwise is more bass and treble.

Easy build also. I agree with someone else here who said the holes in the pcb are quit small. But in the end it worked the first time I plugged it in. Also note that input and output jacks are at the top for this pedal (really convenient).
