UniCab kit

I am so happy to find a clone of this pretty much unobtainable pedal that is unfortunately no longer in production and that I have been searching for for so long. For those who are not familiar with the original, forget IR loaders, this one lets you tailor your cabinet precisely how you like it. Completely analog at that.

The controls in order from top left to bottom right:

• High Response: controls the high end roll off from about 1.5KHz to 8KHz
• Cab Size: goes from 1×10 through 2×10, 1×12 and 2×12 to 4×12 on the guitar side and from 4×10 to 1×15 to 8×10 on the bass side
• Resonance: goes from small open through mid open and mid closed to big closed
• Gain: goes from -6dB to +12dB
• Punch: boosts around 800Hz
• Mid Response: scoops around 450Hz


Examples:

With High Response between five and ten past, Cab Size just above 12 oclock, Resonance at quarter past, Gain where needed, Punch at five past and Mid Response at ten past, you have a great sounding 4×12 that lands somewhere in the middle between a modern and a vintage one.

With High Response at a quarter past, Cab Size at five to, Resonance just below 12 oclock, Gain where needed, Punch at a quarter to and Mid Response at a quarter past you have a great open back 2x12.

With High Response at 12 oclock, Cab Size and Resonance just above a quarter past, Gain where needed, Punch and Mid Response just above 12 oclock, you have a great sounding 1×15 for bass.

Everything is tweakable to perfection to suit whatever setup used with it.

I use one together with a clean amp in a box with power stage simulation as a pedal platform for guitars before a D.I. for PA or recording and a headphone amp for hotel room sound tweaking or silent rehearsal with in-ears, and I use one in the same manner for bass.
I couldnt recommend this thing enough. Five out of five well deserved stars.
