Description

The Bad Mamma Jamma is a versatile distortion pedal. The sound rang is from 70's overdrive to scooped mid nu metal. With the 3-band tone control a wide variety of different distortion sounds can be created.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 5 knobs, up to 19mm diameter, for 6.3mm shaft seperately.

Exactly what I hoped it was

I like the MXR M75 Super Badass Distortion that this kit is based on. The basic sound and tweakability are just fine, but I was interested in hearing the same thing done with bigger and maybe better components. So I bought this kit. And it does sound very very close to the original, but sprinkled with an added liveliness and openness in the higher mids, as if the sound is less congested... Well, hard to say, really, but thats how I perceive it.

As the kit construction allows for users own tweaks, I added a switchable asymmetric clipping option, with a selectable red/green led combo. The original clipping is symmetrical red/red leds. So, a different character available there. Might explore some more later on.

All in all, I think the kit is high quality, does what it says on the tin, so Im very satisfied with it.
