The Diplomat is based on the EF86 channel of the DC30. This is an all-tube clean preamp using a single pentode stage running at high voltage, with a rotary switch tone control to dial in exactly the sound you?re looking for. Diplomat works excellently as a clean boost to push your favorite amp, and also plays well with other pedals in front of it pushing the EF86 into overdrive.
This is a high-voltage circuit and requires special care in assembly, testing, and use!

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal. A EF86 tube is included. Not included in the kit, but also good to have:
- Aluminium enclosure: select one from top
- 9V DC power supply
- 1 nice knob for the potentiometer, up to 15mm diameter and for 6.3mm shaft
- Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling
