Ember Metal Distortion kit

Here is something to fill a sunday rainy afternoon, or maybe two. This kit is more demanding than some others, as mentioned in the description, but when I plugged the pedal eveything worked at the first try.
The full component list is helpfull to identify certain capacitors. The PCB is top quality and well engineered, there is a lot of components but no wires everywere. Everything was well packed and tagged.
Some patience and care is required to maintain all the pots and switches properly before soldering. I would not recommand this kit as a first project (it is my 4th pedal, so Im not a pro either) but everything goes well at the end. If you have already solderded a few pedals you can do it.
The sound is immediately fat, which was what I expected. The noise gate works well and is adjustable, which is a cool feature. There is a lot of settings options, maybe a bit too much. Maybe I would have prefered a classic 3 bands EQ, but these settings still allow to obtain various tones. After some tests I got several good usable heavy tones with different colors.
This pedal wont replace my good old Metalzone for Pantera riffs (but which one could ??) but it will find easily its place on my pedalboard. This is a very rewarding build.
