4 from 5 Lots of options in one pedal

Musikding kit came with the holes drilled for the optional FX loops. And it also included the four Neutriks needed for the loops.

Two 51R resistors required for the loops were missing. And the input/output jacks were the wrong ones, also Neutriks, but through hole and they did not even fit through the drilled holes. I think the small, open Lumberg jacks wouldve been correct. Anyway, I bought the missing pieces at a local electronics store.

A few longer wires are required for this build, so I had to solder some smaller wires from the kit together and wrap them with heat shrink tube. Also the kit didnt have sockets for the transistors, so I used some from the local store. Of course sockets are optional, but I didnt want to take any risk.

The Traco converter contained in the kit was the two Watt version instead of the three Watt version mentioned in the Aion documentation. But so far I dont see this having an impact. The pedal seems to run fine.

Putting the kit together obviously took me some time due to high parts count. But it was definitely worth the while and the money spent on this kit. It sounds great and gives you plenty of options. Theres also an IVP Owners Manual from the original floating on the Internet somewhere that gives us some additional information that is not written down in the Aion documentation. Maybe worth a read for anybody interested.

The holes where drilled fine, no problem boxing up the pedal.

Because of the missing/wrong components I give only four stars :-) But all in all it was a good kit and the Aion PCB and documentation did not disappoint.
