Description

The Episode Booster is based on the PreAmp of the legendary EP-3 tape echo. The toggle switches allow flexible sound shaping, as well as the choice of internal voltage of 9V or 18V.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 1 knobs for 6.3mm shaft seperately.

A perfect always on pedal

I love my EP booster and I leave it on always, first in the FX chain for clean boost. The way it reacts to your pick and adds a subtle breakup is something I never knew I needed. But now that I have it, I cant go without. Much like a compressor, you dont realise how much its doing until you remove it.

The added 18V headroom is really nice, but I leave it normally at 9V combined with the FAT set to the downward postition and a little 3dB boost, youll great a satisfying breakup with your knob set around 12oclock.

the Internal Trimmer will add a big difference to how your Booster Kit reacts, especially how the 18V charges and reacts to your switches. Too tight and youll get a starved signal, which is fine if youre after a Neil Young type grit. So I advise taking the time to tune that to your taste. I thought my pedal was broken before I played with that... so do spend some time with getting that dialed in.
