The Screamer - Overdrive kit

took me 35 minutes to build it and 1 hour to find that I have to put a jumper between the 2 holes below C8 and R15 for it to work... Please update the instructions - most people cannot read electronic schematics!!!
The pedal sound is almost identical to my stock ts9, so I recommend it to anyone who needs a quality (and easily moddable) screamer and can solder properly. GREAT!!!!

First pedal I built and found it very easy as I am an electrical engineer but I think there is enough info in videos and in the manual to build it without specific electronic knowledge.

Tone is better than expected though I havent tried the original TS.

I built it with a mod to switch between TS9 and TS808 but I cannot hear any difference. Has anyone tried it?

I also have a problem with the DC input. It doesnt seem to work when I plug it. Anyone having the same problem?

Overall the service was nice and quick, everything well packed. The only thing that kinda bothered me was that in the schematic there was a part (a capacitor) that had little * on the side, but was not included in the kit. Therefore I had to do a little goolesearching to find out that it was an optional part and not needed fot the pedal to work properly.

The second thing Id like them to change was the lenght of the supplied wire pieces to connect main pcb with switch pcb - in my expirience they were to short, so Id eventualy replace them (Im talking about 1 extra cm of wire).

But all that said, Id buy again. So no real deal breakers here:)

i prefer the old version , the new version the pot are solder on the pcb so you can t put them where you want ( exemple : in line )

Very good overdrive pedal, can easily compete with famous brand products.
Awesome sound and easy to tune.
High quality PCB witch make the soldering job very easy.
Socket mounted delicate parts.
Improvement needed on instructions file which is to minimalist:
- More explanations vont hurt unexperienced customers.
- Picture in it is showing another kit
- No template for enclosure drilling

Very good kit. All parts where in the kit, actually 1 thing ekstra. I have moved the LED up in the top of the enclosure, so I dont cover it with my shoe.
I made the 808 version. Sounds very open and have a nice drive-tone.

Le Screamer est un overdrive de bonne qualité assez transparent et efficace.

Le kit en lui même est livré avec toutes les pièces nécessaires.

Pour ma part jai eu quelques difficultés à le monter en raison de mon ignorance en matière délectronique (cest mon premier kit et je navais pas soudé depuis le collège) mais aussi en raison du manque dindications et du fait que le guide de montage ne montre pas la version 2 du Screamer...

Du coup jai brûlé le pcb et jai dû en commander un second.

Les gens de Musikding on été super et mont renvoyé un pcb et les composants et au final me voilà avec un excellent overdrive pour un prix modique.

Easy to build and very good sound.
Just be aware that while the online instructions show how to wire for an internal battery it will not fit in the enclosure with the components provided.

I had to change to smaller jacks and now the battery barely fits. Otherwise, excellent.
