The Woodpecker is a hard, choppy tremolo. The sounds are nevertheless very versatile, from vintage synth oscillation to wild stuttering sound a lot is possible.

This kit contains the PCB and all necessary parts. The enclosure can be selected, please select 3 knobs for 6.3mm shaft seperately.

Hint for drilling! Nice build & vibe / stutter effect.

Worked first try, sounds just as expected (listen e.g. video on the EQD youtube channel) and the layout of the PCB is very nice. Actually cant complain about anything! :-)

However, a short hint when using the drilling template:

Place the hole for the LED more towards the top of the 125B enclosure. I would recommend putting it for about 1,25cm / 0,49inch higher. Dont put it higher than that! Otherwise it will get in the way of the legs of the potentiometer nearby.

In my case, the legs of the LED were too short to put them right through the holes of the PCB.

Very nice

As always, these kits are high in quality and value. I consider them a luxury within this hobby because its so easy and Ive never had any kits need any troubleshooting. They always seem to work first try. Pedalpcb makes fantastic boards and though I dont have an authentic eqd version to test it against, Im confident that this sounds the same. Ive built over 20 of their pcbs and they are impressively consistent. This will get housed along with a hydra delay. I also built the death cap fuzz at the same time and housed it with a chopshop. I highly recommend all of these, especially if you play bass.

Great sound and quality components with a small but…..

Great kit sounding very close to demos with an impressive range of useful settings. With the toggle set to high speed and the pot turned up with depth reduced a slapjack sound is produced, very pleasing. Only gripe was the pcb delivered had two through holes blocked with solder perhaps during production, perhaps a quick check during parts picking would avoid this. Careful soldering worked around this. On the whole a great kit!
