Description

The Faux Echo brings the warm feel of an analog delay, able to emulate the classic, big room feel of a tape echo. It is based on the PT2399, and features 4 controls:

  • Repeats: sets the amounts of repeats, up to oscillating
  • Tone: controls the character, from warm and darker to a clearer tone with more highs
  • Level: controls the level of the delayed signal
  • Delay: sets the delay time, up to 600ms

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal.

Not included in the kit, but also good to have:

  • Aluminium enclosure: select one from top
  • DC power supply
  • 4 nice knobs for the potentiometer, 6.3mm shafts
  • Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

Instrument: Guitar Bass

5 from 5 Good product - Excellent support

I bought this set just to try out to build a pedal for the first time.
Everything was included just as mentioned on the website, except one capacitor with the wrong value.
I contacted the support, they responded immediately and sent a new component right away.
The products are good and the support makes it perfect.

4 from 5 Good delay but BOM can be improved

Overall an enjoyable build, the delay works well, though the pot controls dont seem to impact the signal much in the first 50% of their turn ratio. When you turn them beyond 50%, you can hear more audible changes. For some reason the BOM did not list where each component had to go on the board (unlike with the 3Verb kit). I had to check the schematic and sometimes this was a little tricky, but good exercise, just not super beginner friendly. Hope they can add the board numbers to the BOM, that would make the process a lot easier. Thanks!
