Description

The Bluelay guitar effects pedal is a very analog sounding delay, based on the digital PT2399 IC. Controls for Delay, Mix and Feedback enable to get a wide variety of sounds.

This kit contains all parts you need to build a fully functional effect pedal.

Not included in the kit, but also good to have:

Aluminium enclosure: select one from top
DC power supply
3 nice knobs for the potetniometer, for 6,3mm shaft
Decal, transfer or transparent sheets for labeling

Awesome pedal kit, very good value.

First off the pedal sounds amazing, I was very surprised it sounds as good as it does.

The kit itself is fantastic, all of the components are very good quality and everything is clearly labelled. The resistors all have the resistance hand written on the end tags, this is very much appreciated.

The assembly instructions and circuit diagrams are really good and easy to follow, maybe a little bit vague for a complete beginner. Cant recommend this pedal kit enough, for the price it is very good value. I will definitely be purchasing more pedal kits from musikding. Thanks.

Nice product

Just a little bump when switching on/off, it should close the input to ground when in true bypass. I will troubleshoot and le you know if i made any mistake... youll never know. ;P

Top delay

Pareil que pour dautres kits montés (Fuzz face et Foxx), cest simple, bien documenté et très plaisant à faire. La pédale fonctionne super bien, la qualité sonore est vraiment bonne, les réglages sont très efficaces. Elle remplace désormais une pédale décho de marque, quatre fois plus chère, et ce sans aucun regret. Dailleurs la sonorité semble plus se rapprocher dun echo que dun delay (surtout si lon se réfère à la carbon copy). Encore une fois, cest du très bon.

Amazing Delay

This delay is wonderful and inspiring.
I also own the guitarpcb Dlay, based on the same chip.
They are very similar, with the bluelay maybe having a bit more bass rolloff in the feedback circuit.
The sound is definetly lo-fi, but modulating the delay is a huge joy! When will someone design a PT2399-based delay with an lfo for the delay time? :)
The bluelay is fixed to have the perfect amount of self-oscillation at max feedback settings.
As always, customer support is top at das musikding.
PS: my pre-drilled 125b enclosure didnt match perfectly with the boardmounted pots, with a little stretching of the pots they were made to fit easily though.

Analog sound, digital delay

This is super. With this (not so) easy-to-build kit, you get a fantastic sounding delay. It can even oscillate like an analog one.
I suggest you to buy the predrilled enclouse (125B), or you might have some troubles when fitting all the components inside the box.
